How to vote
You can vote online or by phone from October 13 until election day, October 26.
- When
- Voting opens Tuesday, October 13 at 10:00 a.m. Voting closes Monday, October 26 at 8:00 p.m.
- How
- Before voting opens, the Township mails you a Voter Information Letter. It has your voting credentials and how to use them, so keep it safe.
- Where
- You can vote from anywhere, at any time between opening and closing. Use a computer, phone, tablet or landline. To vote in person on a Township device, visit the voting help centre at the Municipal Office in Norwood during the hours below.
Get on the voters' list
If your name appears on the list, your Voter Information Letter will come in the mail before voting opens on October 13. If it hasn't arrived by then, contact the Clerk.
You can join the list or fix your details until voting closes at 8:00 p.m. on October 26. Use the Township's voter registration form, or go in person to the Municipal Office.
Who can vote
You can vote if you:
- hold Canadian citizenship,
- have reached age 18, and
- live in the Township, or personally own or rent property here, or have a spouse who does.
That means cottage owners and other people who own or rent here but live somewhere else can vote too.
What you need
To vote, use the credentials in your Voter Information Letter. To join the list in person, bring ID that shows your name and the address that lets you vote here. A health card on its own won't work.
